Geetha Jonnala, MD is the founder of Eastside Rheumatology. She is Board Certified in Rheumatology and Internal Medicine. She is well known in the community for her compassionate patient care and skill. After completing medical school, Dr. Jonnala went on to Texas Tech University of Health Sciences in El Paso, TX to complete her training in internal medicine, where she earned the best resident award and was chief resident her final year of training. After completing her residency training, she went on to UT Southwestern in Dallas, TX, where she completed her rheumatology fellowship training program. During her stay at UT Southwestern, she was involved in various clinical trials and lab research regarding lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, and osteoarthritis. She was also involved in several publications and presented her work at national rheumatology meetings.
In November 2007, Dr. Jonnala opened Eastside Rheumatology in Snellville, GA. She continues to expand her education and advanced training, staying abreast of the latest developments in rheumatological medicine. Dr. Jonnala specializes in treating Rheumatoid arthritis, Systemic Lupus Erythromatosus, Osteoarthritis, Psoriasis, Psoriatic arthritis, Polymyalgia Rheumatica, Sjogren’s Syndrome, Gout, Fibromyalgia and Osteoporosis. As a patient, you can expect a personal touch beginning with an individualized care plan customized just for you. She is fluent in English and Telegu.
When not at the office, Dr. Jonnala enjoys spending quality time with her husband, daughter, and son, as well as dancing, hiking, biking, and traveling the world.
We are pleased to announce the addition of Tika Allen, a Family Nurse Practitioner to our growing practice. As a Family Nurse Practitioner, Tika will work in collaboration with Dr. Jonnala to manage complex rheumatic illness and arthritis. Tika is a native from Columbus, Georgia. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Valdosta State University and Master of Science in Nursing from Georgia State University. She has over 12 years of experience in critical care nursing.
