Dr. Geetha Jonnala has completed a three year residency training program in Internal Medicine at Texas Tech University in El Paso, Tx in 2005. While training, she was elected best resident and served as Chief Resident during her final year of training. She then decided to join UT Southwestern in Dallas, TX for a two year training program in Rheumatology which she completed in 2007. During her stay at UT Southwestern, she was involved in various clinical trials and lab research regarding lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, and osteoarthritis. She was also involved in several publications and presented her work at national rheumatology meetings.
Dr. Geetha Jonnala is board certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology. Soon after completion of her fellowship, she returned to her home state of Georgia to start a medical practice in 2007 to better serve the metro Atlanta area. Dr. Jonnala treats patients with musculoskeletal diseases including all forms of Arthritis and Rheumatism, Autoimmune diseases, Inflammatory vasculitis and Metabolic Bone Diseases. She is fluent in English and Telugu, speaks some Spanish. She is currently living in Snellville, GA with her husband, daughter, and son.
